Carnivale Cup Tennis Tournament 2013

The Carnivale cup was played on Sunday afternoon in perfect conditions.

Eleven teams entered and all played with Great Spirit and enthusiasm some of our junior players stepped up to the mark along with the new comers to the club and visitors.

Group A was won by June Hall and Johnny Riley closely followed by Louise Polain and Herold Prinns just pipping out Joan Berzinski and Luke Stringer.

Group B was won by Kiani Berzinski and Blake Johnson second place went to Barbara Vinecombe and Kevin Eldridge just beating Tahlia Blain and Kerrod Andrews who were on the same game points but lost more games.

The Final was played between June Hall and Johnny Riley against Kiani Berzinski and Blake Johnson. June Hall and Johnny Riley eventual winners making them back to back winners.

Next event for Port Douglas Tennis club will be the Club Championships.

Kiani and Blake have put out the challenge to June and Johnny.
